S-Branch 004 – You Only Live and Let Die Twice (ft. Lindsay Braynen)

We’re joined by our first ever guest and friend of the show Lindsay Braynen (heymagicalgirl.com) as we dive in-depth back into the crocodile-infested waters of Live and Let Die to talk about the representation of Voodoo and black culture in this film, and so much more! We also play a game of mad-libs (unrelated.)

S-Branch 003 – We Jumped the Shark

In our return to S-Branch, Keegan and Chris pitch hypothetical actors they’d want to see in the future of the Bond franchise. Some are jokes, some are serious, most of them are jumping the shark. Speaking of sharks, we return to our shark-filled episode of Thunderball for more bonus content!

0012 – For Your Eyes Only

While enjoying some warm glühwein (mulled wine) the Boozing & Bonding Boys make a startling discovery: it’s harder to pay attention to serious movies when you’re drunk. Listen as they struggle to recall the plot of the (comparatively) grounded Bond film “For Your Eyes Only” (1981). Enjoy the good, the bad, and the uncomfortable in this retrospective Bond outing, that looks back on the past and paves the way for the rest of Bond’s films to come.

0011 – Moonraker

Pack your bags folks! It’s time to blast off with Roger Moore’s 1979 Bond film Moonraker!! So grab your Tang and vodka, and get Astro-drunk with Keegan and Chris as they navigate the most cartoony of Bond’s outings. It’s a film where laser fights fit right in with a hovercraft gondola, a double-taking pigeon, and the most farfetched thing, love at first sight. Also, Jaws is back! Yay!

0010 – The Spy Who Loved Me

Return with Roger Moore’s James Bond (or Mr Bund as some know him) for his 1977 film: The Spy Who Loved Me. A film where things seem familiar… maybe too familiar. Sharks, nukes, and Russians? Check, check and check! Join Keegan and Chris as they get tipsy on Moscow mules and become a pair of rude, rude boys this episode. Also, Jaws might be a vampire! Find out why by listening to the episode! *CHOMP*

009 – The Man with the Golden Gun

Roger Moore returns, and his Bond is at peak asshole in the 1974 film The Man with the Golden Gun! Listen as we gush about Christopher Lee, be charmed by Nick Nack, be confused about the film’s Asian representation, and rage over a poorly placed slide whistle. A couple of tropical “Golden Gun” cocktails help us take both good and the bad, so join us for the ups and downs of this perfectly serviceable film.

008 – Live and Let Die

We’re back with season 2: The Roger Moore Era!! Keegan and Chris head down to New Orleans, sippin’ sazeracs, and watching the funky fresh (and a bit funky stale) 1973 film Live and Let Die. Enjoy crocodiles, massive boat chases, a kick-ass theme song, and problematic depictions of black characters and culture. This film has it all!

The Bondies (Season 1 Finale)

For the final episode of our first season, we do something a little different. We make an award show!! It’s the perfect way to look back at all the films, and drinks we’ve enjoyed so far. We decide the victors in numerous categories, along with some help from our listeners. All while “enjoying” classic vodka martinis (and a bunch of olives.)

S-Branch 001 – We’re Sober Now!

In our first episode of S-Branch (the sober sister podcasts to Boozing & Bonding), Chris has some lingering thoughts about Goldfinger, and the boys actually finally make rules for their James Bond drinking game.

Also, vote for who you want to win in our season 1 award show episode: The Bondies

007 – Diamonds Are Forever

Time to play a little game called “where are the frickin’ diamonds?!” We bid farewell to Sean Connery in perhaps the most polarizing film we’ve explored yet: the silly Las Vagas romp known as Diamonds Are Forever. And we cheer Sean Connery’s goodbye from the show with a Black Velvet cocktail.

006 (Part 2) – On Her Majesty’s Secret Service

George Lazenby might be a one-and-done Bond, but we’re not done talking about this movie! It’s the exciting conclusion to our 2 part “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” epic! What did we think about this all-new, all-different Bond movie? And about the film’s controversial ending? We slam back another Tim Tam Slam and talk all about it!

006 (Part 1) – On Her Majesty’s Secret Service

George Lazenby takes over the role of Bond, and we have so much to talk about! So much in fact, that this is our first two-part episode! So join us in part 1 of our discussion of “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” where we disagree on the film’s music, agree on how awesome the Bond girl Tracy is, and we cozy up with some boozy hot chocolates and coffees as Keegan teaches Chris the finer points of a Tim Tam Slam.

005 – You Only Live Twice

We share some sake and journey to the land of the rising sun for the mixed-bag Bond film known as You Only Live Twice. Take joy in a tiny helicopter, cringe at outdated stereotypes, cheer for The Rock’s grandfather, be confused at the choice of trying to make Sean Connery look like a Japanese man. This episode has it all!

004 – Thunderball

We jump into some familiar waters as we watch Thunderball and drink the rum-based cocktail known as “Sharkbite.” The movie recap gets incredibly sloppy as our drunken ramblings find it difficult to separate this film from Never Say Never Again, and we pitch some new James Bond spin-off movies. 4 episodes in, and we’re already jumping the shark?? Join us to find out!
